Standby mode
Standby Mode turns Vibe Dot into a context-aware recorder that adapts to your activities. By detecting your voice, it captures every conversation that you take part in (auto start and stop recording) — without the need to press a button.
Prerequisite
Standby Mode requires your Voice ID to be set up.
Enable Standby Mode
Open the Vibe AI app.
Tap the device icon in the upper-right corner of the Home screen to open Device Settings. Make sure your Vibe Dot is connected (indicated by a green dot).
In Device Settings, turn on Standby Mode and select how long it should remain active.
How recording works in Standby Mode
When Standby Mode is enabled, Vibe Dot automatically starts recording after detecting your voice for a few seconds. It automatically stops recording after a period of silence.
Each recording is uploaded to the Vibe AI app as a separate meeting, where a transcript and AI-generated summary are created.
💡 Note: You can still start or stop a recording manually while Standby Mode is enabled.
Scheduled recording
Vibe Dot follows your schedule to auto-start/stop recording based on custom time window.
Open the Vibe AI app.
Tap the device icon in the upper-right corner of the Home screen to open Device Settings. Make sure your Dot is connected (indicated by a green dot).
In Device Settings, find Scheduled recording.
Add a custom time (start/end time + day). For example,
💡 Note: Please reconnect Dot to your app at least once a week to keep your schedule up-to-date. Otherwise, any change on your schedule may not be reflected on Dot.
