To power Vibe AI features, Vibe AI uses two kinds of usage: Transcription minutes and AI credits. Both come with your seat, reset every month, and are tracked separately.
Transcription minutes cover recording your meetings and turning them into text transcripts. So that everyone can try AI-powered meeting summaries, Transcription minutes are included with every seat on every plan.
AI credits are the fuel for Vibe AI's more advanced, agentic features—like Live mode, AI Real-time Talking, and cross-meeting Ask AI.

Every Vibe AI seat comes with an allocation of Transcription minutes and AI credits. How much you get—and which features you can use them on—depends on your plan and seat type.

How Transcription minutes are used
Transcription minutes are used whenever a Vibe Bot or Vibe Dot records a meeting and turns it into a transcript. Generating an AI Summary from a recording uses only Transcription minutes—it doesn't cost any AI credits.
How AI credits are used
Each time you run an AI action, it uses a number of credits depending on the type of action and the complexity of your request. Some features are free, some cost a set amount per use, and time-based features are counted by the minute.

How time-based and turn-based features are settled:
Live mode is billed at 0.25 credit per minute. You can toggle it on and off at the beginning of a meeting; usage is settled once when the meeting ends.
AI Real-time Talking is billed at 0.75 credit per minute, and is settled after each conversation turn.
Ask AI consumes 1 credit per turn, regardless of how many tokens the request actually uses.
Notes on seat type:
Recording a meeting to generate an AI Summary consumes only Transcription minutes, never AI credits.
Lite seat users can use Single meeting and All memos Ask AI only. Deep knowledge retrieval and cross-meeting Ask AI are not supported, because they consume AI credits—upgrade to a Full seat to get AI credits and unlock them.
When a Full seat user's AI credits run out, they can still use Single meeting and All memos Ask AI.
Managing exhausted Transcription minutes and AI credits
Track your usage
Once you're signed in to the Vibe AI platform, go to Settings > Profile > Usage to see how many Transcription minutes and AI credits you've used, and when they reset. When you're running low, you'll see a warning icon and get an email notification.
What happens when you run out
When your seat's minutes or credits run out:
If you're already out when a recording starts: the meeting won't be transcribed, but the recording is still uploaded to Vibe AI Web.
If you run out partway through: the transcription and summary are still generated, and the rest of your available minutes or credits are used up to finish them.
Once you've hit a limit, meetings won't be transcribed and you can't run any further AI actions until your usage is restored.
To restore your minutes and credits, you can:
Wait for your next monthly reset.
Purchase a Top-up pack (coming soon).
Upgrade to a higher-tier seat.
FAQs
What is the difference between Transcription minutes and AI credits?Transcription minutes are used for passive audio recording and generating standard text transcripts. AI credits act as the "fuel" for advanced agentic AI features. Standard transcription only consumes minutes, but asking the AI to perform autonomous tasks—such as dynamically generating a Live Deck, updating your CRM, or fetching deep knowledge—will consume AI credits.
What happens if I reach my usage limits?
You'll be notified when you hit your limit for either Transcription minutes or AI credits. You can still access your existing memory and history, but you won't be able to process new data until the next billing cycle begins. To continue right away, upgrade your plan or purchase a top-up pack.
Are usage limits shared across multiple devices?
Vibe AI operates on a seat-based (per account) model. Your usage limits are tied to your personal work account, regardless of how many devices you pair with it. Quotas are not pooled or shared across team members.
