How to flash image manually for Vibe S1 (Arm RK3588)

This article applies to Vibe Board S1 55''/75" (Arm RK3588)

The RKDevTool supports flashing the S1B device from a Windows or Linux PC. This document provides a step-by-step guide for flashing the S1B device using a Windows PC.

Instructions:

  1. Download the latest system firmware from here.

  2. Download the Windows driver from here. Unzip and install the driver by running DriverInstall.exe.

    • The UI should look like the image below. Click the first button to install the driver.

  3. Download the RKDevTool from here. Unzip and launch the tool using RKDevTool.exe.

    • The UI should appear as shown:

  4. Power off the S1B device.

  5. Connect the S1B to your Windows PC using the #2 Type-C port.

  6. Locate the reset hole (under the HDMI port).

  7. Press and hold the reset button, then power on the S1B.

  8. Keep holding the reset button for about 5 seconds until the device enters Loader Mode.

    • The RKDevTool will display: “Found One LOADER Device”.

  9. Switch to the “Upgrade Firmware” tab.

  10. Click Firmware, then select the system image file.

  11. Click Upgrade to start flashing the device.

  12. After successful flashing, the S1B will reboot automatically.
