Updated yesterday

This article applies to the Vibe Board S1 55β€³ and the Vibe Board S1 75".

If you are using the Vibe Board Pro 75β€³, please check this article.

If you are using the Original Vibe Board 55β€³, please check this article.

Preparation:

  • Determine the type of USB port you have on your computer to see which specific cables are required.

  • We recommend using cables that are shorter than 15ft to prevent connection failures caused by insufficient signal strength.

πŸ’‘ Note:

In Settings β†’ Vibe Services β†’ Vibe Cast, we recommend keeping the option 'Auto-switch to Vibe In source when connected' enabled (it is enabled by default). This provides an easier way to handle HDMI connections.

Scenario 1:

If your laptop has a USB-C Display port as shown on the image below, you will require a USB-C Video Monitor Cable.

πŸ’‘ Note: This is our most recommended connection type.

Connection flow:

Instructions:

  1. Connect the USB-C Video Monitor Cable from your computer USB-C Display port to the "Touch" USB-C port on Vibe Board.

  2. By default, the HDMI connection will be established automatically, and the input content will be displayed directly on your board.

  3. Then you will have screen-casting/annotation/touchback.

  4. You can swipe up from the bottom of the board to open the shelf, then click the Overview icon to switch between the HDMI input source and your board app.

Scenario 2:

If your laptop does not have a USB-C port, but only has a USB-A port, as shown in this PC, you will require an HDMI cable and a USB-A/USB-C cable to achieve both screen-casting/touchback. Annotation is not available for this connection type.

Connection flow:

Instructions:

  1. Connect the HDMI from your computer to the HDMI-IN port on the Vibe Board and plug the USB-A/USB-C cable from the USB-A port of your computer to the "Touch" USB-C port on Vibe Board.

  2. By default, the HDMI connection will be established automatically, and the input content will be displayed directly on your board.

  3. You will have both screen-casting/touchback. Annotation is not available for this connection type.

  4. You can swipe up from the bottom of the board to open the shelf, then click the Overview icon to switch between the HDMI input source and your board app.

πŸ’‘Note: If the Touch functionality is not working, then try a different USB-A to USB-C cable, as some charging cables may not work with this configuration. Please try another cable or use the one we have tested here:

Scenario 3:

If you only want to have a standard HDMI connection with screen-casting, you will only require an HDMI cable.

Connection flow:

Instructions:

  1. Connect the HDMI from your computer to the "HDMI-IN" port on the Vibe Board.

  2. By default, the HDMI connection will be established automatically, and the input content will be displayed directly on your board.

    1. Touchback and annotation will not be available for this connection type.

  3. You can swipe up from the bottom of the board to open the shelf, then click the Overview icon to switch between the HDMI input source and your board app.
